House Keeping

• Congratulations to Finn for hosting Kaz this weekend. You have demonstrated principled behaviour at school, collaboration in your interactions and thinking skills when building the class airport. 
• If your child is leaving on holiday early please email myself and the Infant Office to inform us prior to your departure. 
• We have been talking about names and what they mean and where they come from. I wonder if you could tell your child how you found their names and if they have any special meaning to you. 
• We are missing a few Learning Journals. Could you please return any Learning Journals on Monday in order for us to add updated work to it please. 
• Could you please make sure any school books: levelled readers, library books, class library books which are overdue are returned. 
• Recycled Goods Request. If you have any of the following items at home we would love to collect them for art projects at school...

ReJ Airport

Over the course of the week the children have been talking about their holiday travels. This inspired us to ask the children if they would like to transform their vet clinic into an airport. The children loved the suggestion and have been busy sharing their ideas about what airports need...

Armaan " A control tower."

Liam "We needs lots of different types of airplanes."

Isabella "You also need a pilot to drive the plane."

James "We need a kitchen for people to make the food."

We are hoping to have a skype interview with a pilot soon. We are currently waiting to hear back from them.

Discovery Time Reflections

It's great to see the children giving writing a go in their Investigation Journals after Discovery Time. 

The Sound Hunt Continues...

The children are becoming sound and ipad experts. They are now teaching each other to crop and add effects to the photos they've taken to produce more focussed photos. They are also learning to delete photos they no longer want.

Highlights

Our librarian reading us this years Red Dot books. We will vote on our favourite this coming week. 

Building our fine motor muscles by using different tools with wire. We made birds nests after finding some real birds nests at school.
