Collaboration and Communication

This week in school we continued our exploration around volcanoes, which stemmed from the wonderings our children had last week. 

We were scientists when we took part in experiments to understand more about what it might look like inside a volcano. 

A volcano island for children to explore during Discovery Time

We read and made non - fiction books to communicate to others about volcanoes.

                    

As we were learning more about what was inside a volcano, we thought about what we would find inside our Earth.

"Inside the Earth has a gigantic ball." Livio

After sharing some non - fiction books together some children made playdough Earths. They cut it to see the layers inside the Earth. 

Other children decided to make a start on a layers of Earth book, which they will continue with next week. 

We are going to use an interesting scientific tool next week to get up close with objects in our Earth... 

We started swimming!
