United Nations Food Festival and Writer's Workshop

I'm not sure about you, but I thought the United Nations Food Festival was amazing! Thank you to our Parent Volunteers, we couldn't have had such fun without you. Below is a little snapshot of our day for those who couldn't make it.

Last week we had Celena Larky from Teacher's College in America work with the Infant School. Our class were lucky enough to have a taste of Writer's Workshop with Celena. Enjoy the Video!

The children are working towards recording each other's stories using the camera app on the Ipads. Here is an example.

Over the Term the children have been introduced to different Apps on the Ipad to enrich and communicate their learning at school. Two of the Apps the children have been working closely to master are: Doodlecast and Puppet Pals. Here's an example of a Doodlecast.

Ipad usage in class is a collaborative learning moment.

Yoga with Ms Scott.

House Keeping

You should have received the field trip letter by now, the children will be going to the Science Centre on December 10, followed by a picnic at West Coast Park (weather permitting). We need 11 parent volunteers to help us at the Science Centre, please do let me know if you can come. Parents who are not Singaporean or PR will need to pay $12.

On the form you would have read either 'Sweet' or 'Savoury', this is a request for you to contribute something either sweet or savoury to our picnic. We look forward to seeing you at our picnic!

As we come to the end of Term I'm sure the children are attending many social gatherings. Please be mindful their healthy social lives will sometimes cause the children to be a little more tired at school and so will need more restful afternoons at home.
